As a kid, I thought I wanted to write novels when I grew up. Now, I realize the real world is just as complicated - and infinitely interesting - as the ones from books I loved so much.
I decided to pursue digital journalism in order to bring readers into worlds they might not see otherwise. Most recently, as a reporter for Cronkite News in Washington, D.C., I could let my audience know what was happening in our nation's capital, from the inside of the Senate to the streets of downtown D.C. and beyond. I'm a careful and thorough reporter with experience covering breaking news, border and immigration issues, environmental policy, and more. I also have experience creating multimedia content using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, and Lightroom, and experience with web design, including programming experience in four languages. I'm also pursuing a minor in political science. In my free time, I love watching movies, spending time with friends and family, and reading as much as possible. |
